Violin studio Diana in Hilversum
My violin studio is very near the centre of Hilversum and within walking distance of Hilversum Central Station. Young pupils from the expat community in Hilversum enjoy working with an English speaking violin teacher. I was born in England and English is my native language, I also speak fluent Dutch. My violin studio stands separately from my home and it is completely insulated. I play together with pupils during the violin lessons either accompanying with my violin or with the keyboard. It's not only thoroughly enjoyable to play together with pupils in the violin lesson, but it is a learning experience. Rhythm and intonation can greatly improve by playing together.

I always concentrate on the individual and I am careful with violin lesson material so that it's in line with the pupils' needs. My pupils know that body posture influences the sound of the violin. If you want the violin to sound round, warm and open, then it's important to have a relaxed posture for the resonance. If you are tense, the violin sound can't resonate through your body.
